When I found the mod I decided to buy the game again (after a refund) but then the mod didn't work because the game got a recent update and Hades team (not blaming them for this one) didn't care about mod compatibility after patches. They just said it was "not possible", and I asked why it was not possible if a random modder made it possible and got no answer. The developers didn't ever say that is "not a big deal", because it really doesn't take much time of work of a bit team like that. The only thing that is "fixed" to 16:9 is the HUD (or UI) but as you can see in the video I attached, it can still be fixed easly. It doesn't need to be a programmer to know that. The textures are applied on the models, not on the aspect ratio of the screen. As a dev, if you are going for native support, those problems are unacceptable, and making it work perfectly may be the expensive part, from a business POV the amount of people that would not buy the game for that is negligible anyways, and people that really care are willing to spend 10 minutes copying the files of a github mod in the games folder. I am not a programmer but I think it is easier to make a mod because if it has bugs or some textures don't look good they are excusable. ![]() ![]() ![]() To be honest, it may not be a big enough part of the market to be worth the effort, I even still prefer to play csgo in 4:3, you know? like those bars on the sides are not a big deal at all.
